Vassil was such a big, funny, loving presence. I imagine that he still is – smiling, laughing, being playful or soulful or surprisingly tender with his precious gajda. And I am so moved that he transitioned to the world of Spirit in our beloved redwoods, surrounded by music and dance, and Love and Light. I am so grateful for the time I got to spend with him at Balkan Camp and also when I brought Bulgarika to Fort Collins, Colorado, for four fun, musical days in October of 2014. Personally and musically, Vassil touched our hearts, moved us to joy and laughter and to profound depths of connection with each other in the dance hall; those brilliant breaths of connection extend into and out of all of our dancing circles, moving through time. I miss him. I gather my spirit, sending that very same enduring, bountiful Love and Light to his family. Diane Montgomery
